South Squirrel Road (Road Rehabilitation & Water Main Improvements)
The City of Auburn Hills and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Local Agency Programs Unit - OHM Advisors will be conducting work for the from South Blvd to Primary Street for the South Squirrel Road & Water Main Improvements.
The project scheduled is anticipated to start in mid-June 2019 and will be substantially completed by the end of September 2019. Restoration will be finalized and the project is expected to be fully complete in fall 2019.
This project is part of the long-term capital improvement plan which includes road assessment and water reliability/asset management for our infrastructure.

- Replace existing 16” concrete water main
- Install new 16” ductile iron water main
- Road Rehabilitation
- Remove existing asphalt
- Road base improvements
- Place 6” new asphalt pavement
- Curb repairs, sidewalk ramp upgrades
