Walton Blvd from (N. Squirrel Rd. to Adams Rd.)

The Road Commission for Oakland County will work on Walton Boulevard starting Monday, March 25, 2019. 
Walton will be transitioned to one-lane in each direction between N. Squirrel Rd. and Adams Rd. The work is expected to continue into June 2019.

  • Project Breakdown: 
    • Three culverts will be replaced with box culverts (COMPLETED in 2018)
    • Milling/resurfacing Walton Blvd. from Squirrel to Adams, including the Walton Blvd. and Squirrel Road intersection
      • Construction started on Saturday, (5/18/2019) at the Walton Blvd/Squirrel Rd intersection
    • Placement of concrete curbs and gutters
    • Placement of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant sidewalks and crosswalks
  • During construction in the spring of 2019, the contractor will close the inside (left) lane in each direction for median restoration work. All side street and driveway access will be maintained throughout the project.
