Explorer Post

DE DB B DC AEEEE WebThe Auburn Hills Fire Department has an organized explorer program for youth, ages 14-20, in conjunction with the Clinton Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  The programs intent is to provide the youth of our community, both educational and practical experience in fire and emergency medical services.  Once they complete their initial training, the explorers can become directly involved in operations of the department.  Some of those operations including: public education, home fire safety surveys, hose testing, non-hazardous incident operations and state certified firefighter training.  However, this is only a small sample of explorer involvement.  Upon successful

completion of high school and the minimum city employee requirements, explorers will be given the opportunity to become a regular member of the fire department.

EDED BAA C BFBBFAB WebAs a member of our explorer post, youth will not only learn about career opportunities in the fire service, they will also develop desirable qualities such as: character, responsibility and leadership.  All of these attributes will be acquired while providing a necessary service to the community.  If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming a member of the Auburn Hills Fire Department Explorer Post, please contact the fire department at (248) 370-9461.
