Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is an incredibly rewarding way to spend your time while enriching the lives of others. The City of Auburn Hills has numerous ways to help out in your community. Even if you just have an hour, we can use you. We have opportunities for individuals, families, and students. Contact the Community Center at 248-370-9353 to volunteer or for more information. Please note: All volunteers are required to pass a background check.

Volunteer Application

Drivers Needed:
Do you have 1-2 hours a day to deliver a smiling face and a meal to a homebound senior? If so, we need you. Volunteer Drivers are needed to drive meals to homebound seniors. We deliver over 50 meals a day and your help is needed. Routes are available every day of the week. This is a great opportunity for families, students, civic groups, churches, businesses, employees, and retirees to help out.
Meal Preparation:
Assistance is always needed in the kitchen. Our Nutrition Program is growing and so are our volunteer needs. Meal preparation is done at the Community Center Monday thru Friday. Volunteers are needed for packing homebound meals, serving site meals and clean-up.

Volunteers are needed for SHARP – Senior Home Assistance Repair Program. The SHARP program provides home repair to seniors and disabled residents. The labor is free; the homeowner pays for the cost of the materials. Trained volunteers will provide miscellaneous home repairs and maintenance. Co-sponsored with the North Woodward Community Foundation.

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: From special events and parties to concerts and other community activities, we are always in need of friendly volunteers. Whether it is decorating for an event or escort ing a senior to the doctor’s off ice, there are so many ways you can get involved. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Community Center at 248-370-9353 for more information.
