Waste Services

General Information

The City of Auburn Hills has a Single Hauler waste management program for most residential dwellings within city limits. Residential trash, recycling, and yard waste services in the City of Auburn Hills are contracted through GFL. If you have any questions or need to setup waste services, please call 1-844-464-3587.

Commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential buildings (mobile home parks/most apartments) are responsible to contract their own solid waste disposal.

Solid waste and recycling materials are picked up weekly. Please have your material containers out on the curb by 7:00am on collection day. Yard waste is collected weekly on the same day as trash pickup from April through the second full week of December. For more information about trash, recycling, and yard services, use this reference document provided by GFL.

The 2022, 2023 and 2024 rate for services is $33.67, and will increase to $34.58 in 2025 and $35.62 in 2026.
