Frequency

Pick-up once per week collection at curbside - April through the last collection day in November 
Please Note:  Units within condominium associations with neighborhood-wide contracted yard service will not be required to utilize this curbside service.

Containers
Customers may use paper yard waste bags or containers up to 32-gallons in capacity with proper sticker facing the street (50-pound weight limit). Stickers, which state “Yard Waste” are available at the Department of Public Works, City Hall and the Community Center for 32-gallon containers. Carts may not be used for this service due to their weight. No plastic bags.

Volume
No volume limits.


Yard Waste Materials
Yard waste materials include grass clippings, leaves, weeds, prunings, garden, and fruit waste, incidental dirt from edging and planting, small sticks, and branches up to 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter. Bundle brush and branches that are 4 inches in diameter or less in 3 - 4 foot long bundles with string. Please ensure bundles weigh less than 50 lbs and are no larger than 18 inches around. Yard waste mixed with rubbish cannot be collected.

Christmas Trees
Included year round.

Prohibited Materials
WM cannot accept branches over 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter, stumps, shrubs with root balls and dirt, large quantities of dirt, sand, gravel, pet waste, plastic bags with yard waste, etc.

Recycling Services

Containers
WM will provide an 18-gallon recycling bin to each household. More than one container is allowed. Customers can use containers up to 32-gallons in capacity with proper sticker (50-pound weight limit). Stickers, which state “Recycling” are available for 32-gallon containers at City Hall, the Community Center and the Department of Public Works. Additional 18-gallon recycling bins will be available from WM at a nominal charge.

Optional Upgrade — Recycling Cart Rental
For an additional rental cost, WM will provide a 96-gallon wheeled recycling cart with the service.

Volume
No volume limits.

Recyclable Materials
Glass, metal, plastics (#1-#7), paper, junk mail, boxboard, cardboard, tin, aluminum.

Single-Stream Program
Single stream program – no sorting –which means all materials can be comingled in the same recycling container.
