Pixley Funeral Home Collects Sweaters for Veterans
Veterans Day is just around the corner and cold weather is as well.  In an effort to honor our heroes and keep them warm, Pixley Funeral Home is collecting new or gently used sweaters to be donated and delivered to deserving veterans.  Many of the sweaters will end up in VA hospitals or Veterans Homes nationwide.  From November 1st thru Veterans Day November 11th, stop by Pixley Funeral Home [3530 Auburn Rd] or the Auburn Hills Community Center [1827 N. Squirrel Rd.] and leave your sweaters in the designated area.   This is a great way for you to show your support for the many deserving men and women who have faithfully served our country.  Pixley Funeral Home is proud to be part of the We Honor Veterans program which is a collaborative effort between the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Department of Veterans Affairs and Dignity Memorial.. “Dignity Memorial providers have always been focused on serving our veterans with respect, integrity and dignity. Through the We Honor Veterans program, we hope to assure that every veteran receives such care no matter the service provider they choose. We are honored to be a part of such an incredible and innovative program,” said Candace Green, Director of Hospice and Community Relations for the Dignity Memorial network.  To learn more visit www.pixleyfuneral.com or call 248-851-1800.
