Public Health Advisory: Clinton River Precaution Lifted (UPDATE)

Pontiac, MI, June 2, 2015 – Due to a suspected chemical release, Oakland County Health Division urges residents to avoid swimming and all recreational activities in portions of the Clinton River until further notice. The affected area of the river begins at the City of Pontiac and continues east to the Oakland/Macomb border.

This advisory is in effect while the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Environmental Quality continue their investigation and clean-up efforts. For additional information contact Shawn Keenan at 248-364-6900.
