Auburn Hills, MI—March 14, 2018-Celebrate spring with fun for the whole family. Come for an egg hunt, bonnet contest and photos with the Easter Bunny at the 27th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Contest on Saturday, March 31st, beginning at noon at the Civic Center Park, located behind the Community Center. Premier sponsors include Auburn Hills Christian Center, Community Impact Church, Raymond James and The River Church.

According to Auburn Hills Recreation Director Brian Marzolf, the Easter Egg Hunt is a wonderful way to kick off the spring season.

“This is such a great time of year for people to get out and enjoy the weather. Last year, with chilly temperatures and a bright sun, more than 1,000 people attended the celebration! We have a lot of fun planned for this year as well!”

Auburn Hills Mayor Kevin McDaniel said this is a wonderful spring event and a family favorite!

“This annual event has become such a wonderful tradition for the community and it’s so great to see all the families that come out to enjoy it! After 27 years of bringing Auburn Hills’ families out to celebrate spring festivities, it just keeps getting better.”

In addition to the egg hunt beginning at noon, there is a bonnet contest featuring categories for kids and adults. Visitors can also enjoy photos with the Easter bunny and an adult egg toss at 1:00 p.m.

The Community Center is located at 1827 North Squirrel Road on the City’s main campus. There will be a $2 per child fee for attending the event, payable from your car as you enter the park.
